The Green Room

With haunting décor, hand-painted by local artist Joe Vollan, the Green Room is available for all occasions. Seating up to ten comfortably, this private room is perfect for your next game night. The Green Room is for rent for a minimum of 2 hours during regular hours at $10 an hour, and a minimum of four hours during peak hours at $20 per hour. Regular hours are Monday – Friday from 11 am until 5pm. Peak hours are Monday – Friday 5pm to close, and all day Saturday and Sunday.

The Red Room

The Red Room features a surreal selection of Mystical portraiture in a comfortable setting for up to 12 players. With a 70” LED Smart TV, the Red Room is also a perfect venue for business meetings and presentations. The Red Room is for rent for a minimum of 2 hours during regular hours at $10 an hour, and a minimum of four hours during peak hours at $20 per hour. Regular hours are Monday – Friday from 11 am until 5pm. Peak hours are Monday – Friday 5pm to close, and all day Saturday and Sunday.

** PLEASE NOTE

  • Due to the high demand of our private rooms we will be introducing a new cancelation policy affective February 1st. If you need to cancel your private room reservation, we will require a minimum of 72 hour’s notice. All reservation cancelled after the allotted time will be subject to a cancelation fee equal to half of the reserved time block.
  • Beginning February 1st, both The Red Room and The Green Room at our Seattle location can be reserved during non-peak hours for $20 per hour and during peak hours for $30 per hour. If you reserve both of these rooms together during peak hours the price will be $50 per hour.
  • If you have pre-existing reservation from before this announcement, your booking time and rates will not be effected.

Ballard Private Room FAQ’s

All of the booking for a private room goes through our booking widget powered by Flexbooker. Simply click on the room you would like to book and choose the amount of time you want to book out. You will then see a calendar and a list of times available for the duration you’ve selected. Click on the time you want your appointment to start then fill out the required fields on the next page. Once that’s done, you’ll be taken to a secure page to enter your credit card information. YOU WILL NEED A CREDIT CARD TO BOOK A PRIVATE ROOM. We will authorize a $20 deposit at the time you book. We will only charge this deposit if you don’t show up (see cancellation policy below). You should get an email and text message confirming the day, time, and room you booked. You can cancel your appointment through the link on your confirmation email.

PRO TIP – To make booking easier, click the “sign in” link on the booking widget. From there you can create an account. You can then auto-fill personal info in the booking form whenever you want to reserve a room with us.

Cancellations can be done through the confirmation email you receive when you book. It’s a good idea to keep this confirmation email. Simply click where it says, “If you need to change your appointment please click here.” From there, you can move your reservation to another available slot, or cancel your appointment entirely. Keep in mind that we do have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel at least 24 hours before your event, your $20 booking deposit will not be charged. If you cancel inside of 24 hours, your $20 booking deposit is non-refundable.
You can only reserve a room through our secured Mox Boarding House site.
You’ll have to book each event individually. There isn’t a way to book on-going events in bulk.
We have a few separate pricing systems for the private rooms:

Regular Hours:
$10/hour; Monday –Friday 10 am until 5 pm

Peak Hours:
$20/hour; Monday – Friday 5 pm to close, all day Saturday and Sunday

The Green Room can hold 10 people
The Red Room can hold 12 people
There is a roll-top door that separates the two rooms, if you book both rooms together you’ll be able to have a total of 22 people*.

*Note: If you decide to book both rooms together, all fees apply.

We have a 6ft HDMI cable with the following adapters: HDMI, HDMI-Mini, HDMI-Micro, Display Port, Mini-Display Port and DVI-D..
You may reserve less than 4 hours during our non-peak hours of operation, please see individual room descriptions. To do this, please select a block with the correct start time, then specify in the notes your desired time frame. From there we will make the necessary adjustments on our end. You will receive an email confirmation once we have updated your reservation.
At the time you reserve the room there will be a $20 booking deposit. This deposit is only charged to your card if you don’t show up (see cancellation policy below). The total for the room reservation will be paid when you settle up at the end of the night. You can use cash or card to pay for the room. It does not need to be the same card that you used to book the room.
When you settle up at the end of night, any number of folks can chip in to pay the balance.
If someone from your party shows up within 30 minutes of the booking time…you’ll be fine. However, if nobody shows up within 30 minutes, and we don’t hear from you, we will release the room to anyone at Café Mox that may want to take it. Your $20 booking deposit will be non-refundable if that happens.
We take reservations for rooms 90 days in advance. It’s been our experience that you’ll want to book as early as possible. The rooms tend to book up completely.
Yes you can! We offer the same services in the rooms that are available in the Café.
There is no outside food or drink allowed in the restaurant. The exception to this rule would be a birthday cake or cupcakes for a party in a private room.
