Welcome to Mox Portland—our time-bending board game store, restaurant, and community hub located on West Burnside Street near Providence Park. Step into a world of alternate histories and Parisian-inspired charm, where house-made food, handcrafted cocktails, and a vast board game library come together under one roof. Whether you’re joining us before a Timbers match or just escaping reality for a while, Mox Portland offers a cozy spot to dine, play, and connect.

Our retail store is packed with carefully curated tabletop games, from Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons to Warhammer and modern board game classics. Host a game night, birthday, or campaign in one of our private rooms, or drop in for nightly in-store events designed for gamers of all backgrounds and experience levels.

We validate up to 90 minutes of parking in our underground parking garage while you shop and dine at Mox. Just ask a retail associate before you leave. The parking garage entrance is located on Morrison Street, between our building and Providence Park.

The Reading Room

Step into the timeless charm of the Reading Room at Mox Portland—a cozy, wood-paneled space that feels like an adventurer’s private study. Lined with mysterious artifacts and old tomes, this atmospheric room is centered around a show-stopping table inlaid with over 4,000 pennies. Look closely and you might just uncover the hidden pattern beneath your dice.

Perfect for Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, game nights, or team gatherings, the Reading Room comfortably seats up to 9 guests and includes a TV and audio system for presentations or ambiance. Enjoy full food and drink service while you play, plan, or celebrate.

Rates: $40/hour at peak times (Mon–Fri, 5pm–close; all day Sat/Sun)
$30/hour at off-peak times (Mon–Fri, 11am–5pm)
