Engage is the corporate giving and community outreach program for Mox Boarding House, a division of Card Kingdom, Inc. Through charitable giving, intentional service, fundraising, and in-kind donations, Engage extends our vision to the communities where we live and play.

Engage History

The Engage Program began in 2012 with a holiday Giving Tree that collected hundreds of games from patrons and employees for a local charity. Its success inspired Mox to create a year-round program connecting our community through giving.

Within a year, Engage expanded to include an employee volunteer program, reduced rental rates for nonprofits in our restaurants, an in-kind donation system, and an annual fundraising event: The Gauntlet. Now hosted by our nonprofit partner, Gamers Engaged, The Gauntlet brings together the games industry and community each May at Mox Bellevue for a full day of play and philanthropy. Program Details

The Mox Engage Program supports and amplifies local charities whose missions align with our Areas of Focus. We aim to connect our employees, customers, and community to give in meaningful ways through product donations, in-kind support, and volunteerism.

Areas of Focus

• Education: Preschools, K-12 schools, higher education, and technical programs, as well as tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment programs such as math and science clubs, chess clubs, and after-school programs.
• Basic Needs: Organizations supporting physical and mental health, including food banks, community mental health services, veterans programs, social services, and homeless shelters.
• Neighborhoods & Community: Programs that foster positive social connection, teamwork, and community building, both locally and within our broader gaming community.
