We proudly serve craft beers, ciders, wines, handcrafted cocktails, fountain sodas, Italian sodas, and more.
Can I play while I eat? Can I bring my own games?
We are one of the few restaurants that enthusiastically encourages you to play with your food—or, more aptly, alongside your food. We invite you to stop by anytime to indulge in our delicious cuisine, and we also offer an extensive game library that you can freely borrow from while at Mox. You may also bring games from home or open and play with your Mox purchases.
What was that about a game library?
You read that right; we do indeed have a game library featuring hundreds of titles, from the newest releases to reliable classics. We've got something for everybody, from seasoned gamers to folks new to gaming, and for every age and experience level. From crunchy Euro games to hilarious party games, cooperative or competitive, thematic adventures, or austere abstracts, we've got everyone's tastes covered.
The library is completely free to use while in the store or restaurant, and if you need help figuring out where to start, our expert sales associates love matching the perfect game to your preferences and skill level. We also have a Take-It-Home program: play a game recommended by a staff member, and if you pick up a copy for yourself, you'll get 15% off the price!
What kinds of games do you have at Mox?
While we can’t quite simply answer “all of them,” we can certainly boast a selection of games across all genres for all age ranges. We have tabletop games, roleplaying games, Miniatures, card games, board games new and old, and most anything else you can think of. Whether you’re into Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Warhammer 40K, classic board games, or a simple deck of cards, we have everyone covered.
Can I browse your inventory from home and make a purchase for in-store pickup?
You can absolutely do that with our handy online store. Just make sure you have Mox Chandler selected when you browse and check out, and we’ll have it ready for you the next time you stop in. Almost all of our inventory is available through the website.
We currently do not ship, but we aim to add that feature.
Do you sell MTG singles at Mox?
We do! We have so many Magic the Gathering singles available that we can’t fit them all into display binders – instead, you can peruse our selection and make any purchases via our nifty Portal, where the thousands of cards in our inventory are at your fingertips. Once you’ve placed your order, check in with a Mox Sales Associate, and we’ll get those cards pulled, packed, and in your hands right away. (link coming soon)
Are events open to anyone? What events do you have? Are they free?
We have everything from beginner-friendly learn-to-play events to high-level tournaments and everything in between across a variety of games. Most events are open to everyone, although events where alcohol is served are restricted to those 21+.
Our event space holds up to 64 people, and we also feature four 6'x4' gaming tables for minis gaming.
We’ll host everything from Friday Night Magic, Pokémon League, trivia nights, paint jams, Prereleases for various games, and even pro-level tournaments. Certain events (anything listed as open play, for example) will be free, while others will have an entry fee for prize support and to cover Community Host costs to ensure the events run smoothly. I would love to host a private event or game night at Mox? Is that possible?
That is indeed possible and encouraged! Mox Chandler features two private rooms, the Waltz Study (seats 8 guests) and the Ostrich Room (seats 10). The rooms can be combined to make one larger room that seats up to 18 guests. Each room comes with a TV with HDMI inputs available for a laptop, perfect for presentations or showing your players exactly what they’re up against in that dungeon they’re raiding. Room reservations also include an assigned server from the restaurant, who will tend to all your food and beverage needs.
Room rates are $30/hour during off-peak hours and $40/hour during peak hours. (link coming soon)
I would love to have a team-building event or corporate meeting at Mox? How do I do that?
